Our team’s skill base covers not just the Battery and Solar industry alone, but other industry groups as diverse as Property Investment and Development, App Development, Video Conferencing and Luxury Goods.

Each brings a unique skillset and perspective to the work we do and the relationships we foster at Alpha House.

Meryl Armitage

Meryl has a proven track record as both an entrepreneur and corporate professional, who’s focus, determination and strong people skills, ensure her success.

Meryl is the co-founder and owner of Alpha House. She set up the business following a battery need she had in her own home and the rest is history…in the making! Her vision is to provide the very best battery solution for every customer along with exemplary customer service.

Meryl is also co-founder of The Armitage Group, a property investment and development company based in Belgravia London. The Armitage Group deals mainly in the residential market, and over the past 18 years has established a reputation as one of London’s leading property investment companies.

Prior to this Meryl was a board member of Chanel Ltd, managing multiple markets globally and sat on global committees for product development, advertising and internet strategy.

Meryl was also Marketing Director for both Clinique and Estee Lauder.

Samuel Orton
Managing Director

Samuel has over 19 years’ experience in design management and power protection infrastructure in the UK, Ireland and EMEA across multiple market sectors and verticals. He has a track-record of delivering projects and applications with VRLA battery, ‘flywheel’ kinetic energy storage and DRUPS applications ranging from 10KW to 8MVA installations.

During the last several years Samuel has been responsible as UK GM for growth and development of two businesses comprising part of a leading international manufacturing conglomerate.

Samuel brings great expertise and knowledge in the application of business development to Alpha House.

Ed Webb
Operations and Finance Director

After qualifying as an electronic engineer and an initial career designing and building telecoms equipment, Ed progressed into product marketing and marketing culminating in being European Marketing Manager for a successful US Global Videoconferencing company.

Following a career break to follow a lifetime ambition to sail around the world, Ed returned to set up and run a Renewable Energy Wholesale distribution company. After selling the business, Ed joined Alpha House with a view to re-applying the knowledge gained in his own business to this exciting brand.

Paul Marks
Business Development Manager

Paul has over 20 years’ experience in the power protection industry and associated markets in the UK and EMEA. In the last 12 years Paul specialised in the VRLA battery sector delivering large infrastructure projects through the UK and Europe.

His professional sales career started as Sales Manager, successfully setting up multiple distribution networks across Africa and the Middle East obtaining invaluable experience and knowledge across multinational agreements.

Since returning, he has driven growth and client acquisition, accumulating longstanding and respected partnerships with multiple clients and businesses.

Trevor Conway
Business Development Manager

Trevor has over 30 years’ experience in power control and protection infrastructure in the UK, Ireland, EMEA and Far East across multiple market sectors and verticals. Trevor has a background of delivering projects and technically demanding applications utilising VRLA battery, ‘flywheel’ kinetic energy storage and DRUPS systems across numerous applications ranging from 10KW to Multi MW installations.

During this time, key account management and working in partnership with large to medium size organisations to maintain and increase revenue, has been an integral aspect of Trevor’s success.

Imogen Waktare

Imogen Waktare
Marketing Manager

Imogen graduated from Durham University with a 2:1 honours degree in Geology before going to Australia, where she found a flair for sales and subsequently completed a Business Diploma on the Gold Coast. She has worked in the charity, residential solar, car rental, and e-commerce industries before moving to Hampshire to take a marketing role in the gun trade.

In Imogen’s previous position, she managed the business’s social media, websites, events and press relations to promote the products they distributed. This experience has given Imogen the confidence to chase a new challenge with Alpha House, she is excited to raise their profile even further and advertise their continued success.

Brian Fagan
Warehouse Manager

Brian has over 30 years’ experience as a warehouse manager, overseeing, warehousing, distribution, and maintaining operations to a high standard. Brian has a wealth of knowledge and expertise in handling and dispatching diverse products to clients, suppliers, and transport companies.

During this time, Brian has worked for a variety of warehouse and logistic companies with 10 years spent at C+D Technologies. His mastery of communication, safe keeping of the working environment, strategic management, stock control and data system reconciliation, brings great proficiency in the development and safeguarding of the Alpha House warehouse.

Vinay Bhopale
Internal Sales Engineer

Vinay is a hardworking, self-motivated, and detail-oriented graduate who achieved his First-Class Honours Degree in Business and Management from the University of Portsmouth in 2020.

He specialises in internal sales providing excellent levels of customer service, support, product knowledge, and administration provisions.

Vinay is very much looking forward to developing his knowledge and skills, whilst working with existing and future clients, to establish relationships and increase product sales here at Alpha House.

Accounts & Admin Assistant

Mahsa is a qualified and hardworking member of our accounts team, holding an AAT certification level 3 (advanced) and she is currently studying for her AAT level 4 (professional). She has over 7 years of experience working in the financial and management accounting departments for a manufacturing company.

Mahsa is a diligent professional who has already mastered Alpha House’s systems, perhaps unsurprising when you learn she also holds a master’s degree in computer engineering. Her attention to detail and genial nature ensures that all our customers’ and suppliers are assisted effectively.

Joshua Nieto

Warehouse Assistant

Joshua has warehouse experience, working with toy and home furnishing businesses, picking and packing orders for shipment to customers. He is self-motivated, conscientious and dependable, all of which are crucial attributes for Alpha House's warehouse during this time of expansion.

Joshua has undergone training in battery product testing and evaluation to ensure that Alpha House provides the level of quality assurance that our customers expect. He is eager to continue acquiring new skills at Alpha House to apply in his role and for his own career progression.
